Local Sports Infrastructure Fund
The 2023-24 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund is a state-wide competitive Victorian Government program that provides a range of grant opportunities across 3 funding streams.

The fund reflects the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions’ priorities to create more opportunities for people through:
- skills and jobs
- helping businesses and industries to thrive
- building vibrant communities and regions.

Eligibility
Only Victorian Local Government Authorities (LGAs) and Alpine Resorts Victoria (ARV) are eligible to apply directly to the Fund.
Applications must be submitted by an authorised representative of an LGA/ARV.
Applications received directly from clubs, associations, umpiring organisations, schools, community organisations, and businesses will not be considered for funding.

Application process
Eligible applicants must submit an application via our website, addressing the assessment criteria as per Section 5 and separately email all supporting documents to communityinfrastructure@sport.vic.gov.au
Local Government Authorities and Alpine Resorts Victoria
LGAs and ARV must discuss potential applications with their Sport and Recreation Victoria contact to receive feedback on eligible projects before submitting application/s.
The application process will require the submission of an online application.
For further information on the application process and requirements for each stream, please refer to the Regional Community Sports Infrastructure Fund Guidelines.
Clubs/local organisations
Regional Sports Assemblies, sport and recreation clubs, sporting associations and leagues, educational institutions, community organisations, disability service providers, businesses and individuals cannot directly apply to the Fund.
However, an Expression of Interest Form (for clubs) has been developed to help progress applications if LGAs and ARV wish to use it.
Local clubs and organisations are advised to contact their LGAs and ARV if they wish to express interest, seek support, or be involved as a partner in applications to the fund.
Successful applications announced
Successful applications of the 2023-24 Local Sports Infrastructure Fund will be announced from April 2024 onwards.
