Sustainable Volunteer Workforce Program 2024 to 2027

The Sustainable Volunteer Workforce Program 2024 to 2027 will provide grants for initiatives which aim to build a sustainable volunteer workforce and support volunteer engagement, retention and find ways to better support the workforce to deliver sport and active recreation in regional Victoria.

Grant amount

Funding of up to $450,000 over 3 years (2024–25 to 2026–27) is available to eligible organisations.

About the program

The program seeks to increase the productivity, capability and resilience of the community sport and active recreation workforce (including paid staff and volunteers) and support its operational sustainability. The program will achieve this by supporting initiatives that help a variety of sporting and active recreation organisations engage, retain, build capability, and alleviate burden on volunteers in regional Victoria.

Eligibility

Applications are accepted from Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV) recognised:

  • Victorian State Sporting Associations (SSAs)
  • Victorian State Sport and Active Recreation Bodies (SSARBs)
  • Regional Sports Assemblies (RSAs) and Regional Sport Victoria.

Applicant organisations must also meet the detailed eligibility criteria set out under section '2. Who can apply?’ in the Program Guidelines.

Funding

Funding of up to $450,000 over 3 years (2024–25 to 2026–27) is available to eligible organisations.
