Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant Program

This program provides assistance to grassroots sport and active recreation clubs and organisations to replace or repair essential sporting and first aid equipment that has been lost or destroyed as a consequence of fire, flood, significant storms, theft or criminal damage.

Eligibility

Please read the Emergency Sporting Equipment Grant Program 2023-24 Guidelines to check your eligibility for a grant through this program.

You can access the guidelines above.

Before you apply for this grant, you must obtain:

  • a police report for all incidents involving theft or criminal damage
  • quote/s which correspond to the equipment requested for funding
  • if already purchased – proof of payment including receipts, bank statements and invoices
  • evidence of the incident and the equipment that has been lost or destroyed.

Funding range

Grants of up to $1,000 are available towards the replacement or repair costs for lost or damaged equipment that is owned by the applicant organisation.

Important dates

Applications can be submitted at any time between 1 November 2023 and 4 pm 31 May 2024, or until funding is exhausted.

Notification of outcomes will be provided within 4 weeks of applying.

Applications for Incidents that have occurred from 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024 will be eligible for funding.

Ensure you have all required information and documents as outlined in the Supporting Documentation section (section 5) of the program guidelines.
