Victorians with disability are now just one click away from a new learning hub that can help build skills and open up opportunities to work and volunteer in the sport and recreation sector.

Created by Disability Sport and Recreation, the new Level the Field Learning Hub provides accessible training and resources to support people with disability to build the skills and confidence to volunteer or work in sport.

It will also help sport organisations to create more inclusive workplaces.

Co-designed with people with disability and sport and recreation organisations across regional Victoria, the Hub is based on best practice disability inclusion approaches.

The initiative is part of the All Abilities Workforce and Sector Support Program, which also includes the complementary Level the FieldGrants Program.

Through the Level the Field Grants Program, 28 place based projects scored more than $7 million in funding earlier this year. The funding will support organisations to create pathways for people with disability into sport careers.

The Hub and the Level the Field projects are part of the $40 million All Abilities Sport Fund that is removing entry barriers for people with disability to get involved in sport and active recreation across the state.

Disability Sport and Recreation is a not-for-profit peak organisation in Victoria that exists to enhance access and inclusion in sport and recreation activities, unlocking possibilities for those with disability.
