The place to be for western regional events has just gotten hotter with additional features unveiled for the Ballarat Major Events Precinct.

A new bigger videoboard will provide a better gameday experience for fans. Additional change rooms and a new southern viewing embankment at Mars Stadium will attract more events, and improve spectator viewing experiences.

The previously announced 5,000 new permanent seats at Mars Stadium will increase the seating capacity of the venue to 10,000. This is being delivered alongside a new athletics track and pavilion, new food and beverage amenities, improved landscape, lighting and accessibility features.

The precinct is a significant sports and major events venue in Ballarat, already hosting Western Bulldogs AFL and AFLW games. These upgrades will further strengthen its reputation as a premier venue in the region, attracting more sports and major events.

The Ballarat Major Events Precinct project is one of 16 projects included in the Victorian Government’s Regional Sports Infrastructure Program and one of 3 projects in the Ballarat region, making our communities even better places to live, work, stay and play.
