Regional Sports Infrastructure Program

The Regional Sports and Infrastructure Program is delivering 18 projects across the state, investing in regional cities and towns, making them even better places to live, work, stay and play.

The Regional Sports Infrastructure Program spans 6 regions across the state.

Its projects include:

  • Ballarat: Ballarat Major Events Precinct (including Mars Stadium); Ballarat Sports Events Centre; Lucas Central Park development; Miners Rest Primary School netball/basketball court upgrades; 186 Howe St Miners Rest Masterplan
  • Bendigo: Bendigo Showgrounds; Bendigo Stadium; Bendigo Bowls Club and Bendigo Croquet Club
  • Geelong: Tarratarra Stadium (formerly known as Armstrong Creek Sports Centre); Stead Park; Waurn Ponds Sporting Complex
  • Latrobe: Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium; Gippsland Sports and Entertainment Park; Morwell Gun Club; Ted Summerton Reserve
  • Shepparton: Shepparton BMX Club
  • Surf Coast: Banyul-Warri Fields Hockey; Wurdi Baierr Aquatic and Recreation Centre, Stage 2.
