Exciting new works have begun on upgrades at Moe’s premier cricket and football venue, supported through the Regional Sports Infrastructure Program.

Upgrades at Ted Summerton Reserve include redevelopment of the oval surface, including the cricket wickets, lighting, scoreboard and sight screen, accessibility improvements across the reserve, plus new changerooms, refurbishment of the existing pavilion and new undercover terracing.

Local Gippsland firm Langden Constructions is leading the building and civil works at the site, with Evergreen Turf undertaking the oval redevelopment.

Home to the Moe Football Netball Club, Moe Cricket Club, Cricket Latrobe Valley, the Moe Fire Brigade and the Gippsland Regional Cricket Centre, Ted Summerton Reserve has hosted pre-season AFL and AFLW matches and Big Bash League cricket.

These upgrades will help increase sports participation and improve the region’s capacity to host events, supporting local businesses and creating employment opportunities during the project’s delivery.

The upgrades are expected to be completed in late August 2026.

The Ted Summerton Reserve project is one of 4 Regional Sports Infrastructure Program projects in the Latrobe Valley region, including the Gippsland Regional Indoor Sports Stadium, Gippsland Sports and Entertainment Park and Morwell Gun Club.

There are 16 projects across regional Victoria making our communities even better places to live, work, stay and play.
