Clublinks appointed to operate world class Bundha Sports Centre
Published: 25 September 2025Melbourne’s newest indoor sports centre in the heart of the inner north enters an exciting new phase with the appointment of Clublinks as the venue operator, with the facility to formally open in early 2026.

Experienced venue manager Clublinks will operate the world-class Bundha Sports Centre in the iconic Fitzroy Gasworks precinct under a ground-breaking long-term agreement, which will enable the community to enjoy the benefits of the facility for decades to come.
Clublinks have a well-deserved reputation for its venue management capability and currently run the redeveloped Northcote Aquatic and Recreation Centre and Narrandjeri Stadium in Darebin, among other sports venues across Australia.
The long-term agreement, developed in partnership between Sport and Recreation Victoria and the Department of Education, will see Clublinks utilise their expertise to manage the centre’s maintenance and asset renewal programs as part of the centre's operation.
In partnership with Sport and Recreation Victoria, Clublinks will reinvest a portion of the centre’s profits to secure access for a range of programs and initiatives, meaning even more community members will secure the benefits of physical activity.
While Clublinks will spend the coming months setting up the centre they will conduct an Expression of Interest process for interested local sports clubs and associations looking to secure access to the centre’s facilities.
The appointment of Clublinks means that more people will experience the benefits of this world-class facility to grow their teams, programs and competitions when it formally opens to the community.
Delivered by Development Victoria, the Victorian Government invested $49.5 million in the centre, complemented by a $5 million contribution from Yarra City Council.
The vertical Bundha Sports Centre provides much-needed indoor sports courts and fitness facilities for Melbourne’s inner north, offering four competition standard basketball, netball, and volleyball courts, a multi-purpose futsal court, a large gymnasium, cafe and lounge area and other community spaces.
Clublinks CEO Anthony Lawrence said, 'Clublinks is delighted to be given the opportunity to deliver brilliant customer experiences that align with the quality of the Bundha Sports Centre.'
'We are excited to facilitate opportunities for the community to participate in sport, recreation and fitness at this beautiful facility. While Bundha is primarily a sports centre, it will deliver wonderful connection, unity and community benefit to Melbourne’s inner north.'
