The latest recipients will be sharing in more than $1.5 million from the Sporting Club Grants Program.

One of the grant recipients is Wantirna South Football Club, which is receiving $1,000 to purchase new uniforms and equipment for its first women’s team.

The Program provides up to $1,000 for uniforms and participation equipment, up to $5,000 for training coaches, officials and volunteers, and up to $5,000 to improve club operational effectiveness.

These initiatives are part of the Victorian Government’s commitment to make community sport and recreation more inclusive and accessible, stimulate local economies, build sustainable sport and recreation volunteer opportunities and increase participation.
