Information about Sport and Recreation Victoria grants and programs.
This program provides financial assistance to young people aged 16 to 25 years to undertake accreditation to ensure they are qualified to teach swimming and water safety. The new Program has been supported through the Victorian Budget 2022-23 to deliver the Victorian Government’s Our Promise, your future: Victoria’s youth strategy 2022-27.

The 2023-24 Change Our Game Research Grants Program supports Victorian university researchers to undertake research relating to women and girls in sport and active recreation. It provides grants of up to $25,000 for Victorian researchers to identify tangible, evidence-based solutions to address barriers for women and girls in sport and active recreation in Victoria. The program also aims to support the career development of early career researchers with an interest in gender equality and sport.

The Aboriginal Sport Participation Grant Program provides grants to assist Aboriginal Victorians to participate in Aboriginal sporting carnivals, buy sports uniforms and equipment, as well as funding for travel and accommodation expenses for athletes to compete in state and national competitions.

Together More Active 2023-27 provides grants to support organisations to increase participation in sport and active recreation, build a skilled workforce and a develop a safe, inclusive and resilient sector.

This program provides assistance to grassroots sport and active recreation clubs and organisations to replace essential sporting and first aid equipment that has been lost or destroyed as a consequence of fire, flood, significant storms, theft or criminal damage.
