The project is one of 15 sporting infrastructure projects across the state to benefit from the Government’s Regional Sports Infrastructure Program.
As home of the AusCycling BMX Racing National Championships, the Shepparton BMX Club teaches and inspires the next generation of BMX riders to go to the next level.
The upgrades will include a new pavilion, major track upgrades including the start hill, and new broadcasting equipment to show the events to the wider community. The project also includes an upgrade to the velodrome lighting within the precinct.
These upgrades will boost participation, attract more major events and elite sport to the Shepparton region and make sure the club remains a world-class BMX venue for generations to come.
This investment will drive local jobs, businesses and the region’s economy as thousands of visitors travel to Shepparton to see some of the world’s best sport stars in action.
Further updates on the project will be provided in the coming months, with the first works to kick off later this year. For more information visit the Regional Sports Infrastructure Program
