Sport vouchers to save kids from missing out
Published: 15 September 2026Thousands more Get Active Kids Vouchers are now up for grabs - helping families with the cost of living and getting more kids into the sports they love.

Applications are now open for round 11 of the popular program via the Get Active Victoria website.
The popular program ensures cost is no barrier for kids to play sport.
Eligible families can apply for vouchers of up to $200 per child to help with the upfront costs of memberships, registration fees, uniforms and equipment across a wide range of sporting codes and recreation activities.
There are over 2,400 providers with more than 70 activities, from soccer to dance, listed online on the Get Active Victoria website.
The positive impact of the vouchers is real with half of families saying their kids would not have been able to participate without these vouchers.
The scheme has opened doors to sport participation with around 20 per cent of children who received a voucher joining a local sporting club for the first time.
Since launching in 2020, more than 270,000 vouchers have been snapped up by families to help cover the costs of sporting memberships, registration fees, uniforms and equipment.
The Program is open to kids aged up to 18 who are named on a Commonwealth Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, and named on a Medicare Card.
A special consideration stream is also available to support children in care, temporary or provisional visa holders, migrants and international students.
And it’s not just the kids that benefit, by being a provider, clubs get more memberships and can provide even more opportunities for kids to reach their potential.
Vouchers can only be redeemed at a registered Get Active Kids Voucher Program activity provider.
Applications for the current round close 13 October 2026, or earlier if the budget allocation is fully exhausted.
