The Victorian Government’s new $9.6 million Inner City Netball Program is building 64 competition compliant netball courts in inner-Melbourne, ensuring nobody is turned away from playing the game they love.
Projects that are completed include:
Darebin Community Sports Stadium (3 courts)
Martin Reserve (2 courts).
Projects that are underway include:
Reservoir High School (3 courts)
Thornbury High School (3 courts)
Fairfield Primary School (1 court)
Melbourne Girls College (3 courts)
Richmond West Primary School (2 courts)
Northcote High School (2 courts)
Richmond High School (3 courts)
JC Donath Reserve (3 courts)
JE Moore Reserve (2 courts)
Charles Mutton Reserve (8 courts)
Cole Reserve (2 courts)
JP Fawkner Reserve (2 courts).
The good news is there’s more to come with even more clubs, associations and schools in inner city Melbourne set to benefit from the program, which will cater for the growing demand for sports like netball by building multicourt facilities where they are needed most.
