These organisations are acknowledged by Sport and Recreation Victoria for their important role in the sector and their contribution to creating opportunities to participate in sport and active recreation.
State sport and active recreation bodies
State sport and recreation bodies are made up of:
- state recreation organisations that deliver recreation specific outcomes for the sector.
- disability sporting organisations that deliver disability specific participation opportunities, or work to build that capacity within the mainstream sector.
- *other sport and recreation bodies represent other particular active recreation, or population groups (non-disability) within the sport and recreation sector.
