Athletics
The State Government has committed over $50 million to the State Sports Facilities project which will deliver new and improved facilities at Lakeside Oval and Albert Park for sporting clubs and the wider community.
Aquatics
The Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre is Melbourne's premier aquatic facility. Other aquatic facilities in Victoria include the Nagambie Lakes Regatta Centre and the National Water Sports Centre.
Australian Rules Football
The Melbourne Cricket Ground is home to the AFL Grand Final and Simonds Stadium in Geelong also plays hosts to AFL matches throughout the season.
Baseball/Softball
The State Baseball Softball Centre is an internationally recognised enclosed main stadium with synthetic in-field, high quality lighting and seating for 2,400 people.
Basketball
Melbourne and Olympic Parks and Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre have an array of facilities to host Basketball events.
Cricket
The Melbourne Cricket Ground and Junction Oval are the State's premier cricket facilities.
Croquet
The Victorian Croquet Centre is an internationally recognised croquet centre with 12 competition courts and high quality lighting on four courts.
Cycling
Darebin International Sports Centre, Melbourne and Olympic Parks (Vodafone Arena) and the State Mountain Bike Course provide superior training and competition facilities for all cyclists.
Equestrian
The Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre has a wide array of equestrian facilities.
Fencing
The State's premier Fencing facility is the State Fencing Centre.
Gymnastics
The Gymnastics High Performance Centre is a training and competition venue.
Hockey
The State's premier Hockey venue is the State Netball Hockey Centre.
Ice Sports
The National Ice Sports Centre provides a facility for everyday recreation use, training and ice sports competition events and is the home of the Olympic Winter Institute.
Lawn Bowls
The Darebin International Sports Centre is the home of the State Lawn Bowls Centre.
Netball
The State's premier Netball venue is the State Netball Hockey Centre.
Rugby League and Union
The Rectangular Pitch Stadium (AAMI Park) adjoining the Melbourne and Olympic Parks precinct provides facilities for games of all rectangular pitch codes.
Shooting
The Wellsford Rifle Range offers an array of shooting facilities.
Soccer
Darebin International Sports Centre, Melbourne and Olympic Parks and the Rectangular Pitch Stadium (AAMI Park) offer facilities for Soccer.
Table Tennis
Table Tennis facilities are available at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
Tennis
Melbourne and Olympic Parks is home to the Australian Open, one of the world's four Grand Slam tennis events.
Volleyball
Volleyball facilities are available at the State Volleyball Centre and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre.
Weightlifting
The State's premier weightlifting venue is the Victorian Weightlifting Centre.
