Applications are now open for a share of $4 million in the latest round of the Shooting Sports Facilities Program.
Victorian shooting sports clubs and associations can apply for grants of up to $300,000 through the Victorian Government program.
Projects can include works to improve the integrity and safety of firing ranges, development of secure storage facilities, upgrades to facilities to increase participation, purchase of shooting equipment and environmental protection works.
This new round brings the government’s investment into the Shooting Sports Facilities Program to more than $17 million.
The grants provide an opportunity for clubs to boost participation, better accommodate participants of all abilities and provide pathways from the grassroots to the elite level.
From Olympic gold medallist Russell Mark to Commonwealth Gold trap shooter Laetisha Scanlan, shooting clubs in Victoria have a strong history of nurturing local talents into world champions.
