In Northcote, Alphington and Darebin Bowls Clubs are getting money to buy new all abilities equipment and smaller sized bowls for young people taking up the game.
The Fitzroy Baseball Club is also receiving money for new helmets and catcher’s gear, while the Thornbury Bowls Club will receive $4,397 to develop a plan to strengthen its books and boost its day-to-day operations.
This is just a snapshot of the Sporting Club Grants Program funded initiatives making a real difference for clubs right across the state.
The Victorian Government is working hard to make sport more accessible and inclusive, boost local participation numbers, strengthen local economies, and support volunteers.
