The second round of the Community Motorsport Program is now open, providing grants of up to $500,000 for grassroots motorsports to take performance on and off the track to a new level.
Applications for infrastructure (up to $500,000) and equipment (up to $50,000) support are open until 10 November 2021.
The first round of funding provided grants to 12 clubs to upgrade and improve motorsport tracks and facilities including the installation of safety barriers at the Ararat Hill Climb, a track circuit extension at Oakleigh Go-Kart Racing Club and the upgrade of the Rob Roy Hill Climb venue in Smiths Gully.
The successful recipients of 106 grants from the second round of Motorsport Club Assistance grants from the Community Motorsport Program have also been announced.
Motorsport Club Assistance grants provide funds for safety and equipment upgrades (up to $10,000), volunteer and officials training (up to $5,000), boosting women and girls participation (up to $5,000) and to host events and activities (up to $20,000).
Among the grants include $10,000 for participation and safety equipment at Ballarat Light Car Club, $2,400 for volunteers and officials from Colac Motorcycle Club to undertake first-aid training, $5,000 to Lotus Club Victoria to run a women and girls “Beyond Driver Training Program” and $20,000 towards Round Five of the Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships.
Applications for the current round of the Motorsport Club Assistance category are open until 21 December 2021.
