Cricketers in Melbourne’s north can look forward to honing their batting and bowling skills at Victoria’s newest indoor cricket centre - the new Hume Indoor Cricket Centre in Greenvale.

With Australia’s recent Border–Gavaskar Trophy test win against India and the return of the Women’s Ashes to the hallowed turf of the MCG, cricket is front and center in the hearts and minds of Victorians right now.

The centre provides aspiring cricket stars with a six-wicket indoor training facility complete with an adjoining pavilion that services the wider Greenvale Recreation Reserve.

For district cricket and the local Greenvale Kangaroos Cricket Club, it’s an ideal venue to cater for the growing numbers keen to sign up and to take their batting, fielding and bowling skills to the next level.

The indoor centre also means year-round opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to develop their skills through community and competitive programs, and camps.

Hume City Council contributed $9.4 million towards the purpose-built facility with $1.5 million bowled in from our Community Cricket Program.

The Program has stumped up funds for 9 metro and regional cricket hubs across the state, from the Ted Summerton Reserve Regional Cricket Hub in Moe to the Northern Rivers Regional Cricket Hub in Junortoun just outside of Bendigo.
