With current advice to stay home, the Premier’s Active April campaign is focussing on how participants can still get their 30 minutes a day of physical activity.
Whether its backyard cricket, a loungeroom workout, yoga, or gentle exercise, Premier’s Active April is the place to get some top tips to keep active and healthy – even as we stay at home.
Premier’s Active April is the perfect reason to take a 30-minute break to get the blood pumping while working from home.
There’s a whole team of Premier’s Active April ambassadors to help Victorians get moving on Active April social channels, including Paralympian Jessica Gallagher, Olympian middle-distance runner Peter Bol, University Professor Amanda Benson, AFL footballer Bachar Houli, and AFLW footballer Emma Kearney.
This year, participants can create their own support crew through the campaign’s virtual teams. It’s a great way to stay connected and keep family members, mates, workmates and others motivated to keep moving during April.
Premier’s Active April participants will also have access to the ‘Get Active Workout’ video series through an app, which features different workout ideas aimed to inspire and motivate people of all ages and abilities.
If participants are not up to a workout, there’s always some light exercise and yoga to break up the day at home.
Participants can track daily activity straight from their Fitbit devices to the Premier’s Active April website and app, or participants can manually log activity. Plus you can earn virtual trophies and more trophies can be unlocked by sharing your achievements on social media, referring a friend or creating or joining virtual teams.
