AAA Play is Australia’s only first-point-of call service connecting people with a disability to sport and recreational opportunities in Melbourne and beyond.
It’s operated by Reclink Australia and funded through the Victorian Government.
With more than one million people in Victoria with a disability, and only 25 per cent participating in sport and recreation , we’re ramping up efforts to promote access to sport and active recreation opportunities.
This includes partnering with VicSport to produce an inspirational video to promote its services across the sporting sector, and to encourage participation.
AAA Play works by communicating with the person to find out what activities they wish to be involved in, what their disabilities are, and what additional needs they might have.
Drawing on a network of state sporting associations, active community clubs, local governments and disability-specific sport and recreation providers, AAA Play can link each person with a suitable sport or recreation activity, in their area, and in a timely manner.
Access for All Abilities is committed to being an ‘opportunity broker’ for every person, no matter what the disability, to benefit from participating in sport and recreation.
Whether it’s basketball or swimming, fencing or cricket, beginner or aspiring Paralympian; Access for All Abilities is committed to helping people with a disability, benefit from participating in sport and recreation.
