Their home ground, Coloola Reserve in Oakleigh, has scored $800,000 towards a new pavilion thanks to the fund.

The project is one of over 90 projects to score a boost from the CSIF, which received a $60 million boost in the Victorian Budget 2018/19.

Sports like tennis, cricket and soccer are more popular than ever and the Victorian Government is supporting that popularity by delivering accessible, safe and modern facilities that our growing communities deserve.

Since the old pavilion was knocked down recently, clubs at the ground have been left with temporary buildings that have been falling short, especially when it came to catering for growing numbers of women and girls.

The bigger and better multisport pavilion will come complete with female friendly facilities which include four change rooms each with separate amenities, internal and external storage space, a first aid room, umpires change room, public amenities, kitchen, function spaces and viewing deck.

The facilities will also be used by nearby schools and community groups as well as the sporting clubs.

Project partners include the City of Monash who've also invested $2 million to the project.

Across Victoria we've invested more than $420 million in community sport and recreation facilities, and earlier this year provided almost half a billion dollars to support sport and active recreation at all levels.
