The Community Shade Grants Program increases the availability of shade in public places where Victorians spend time outdoors, such as parks, playgrounds, sports facilities and other community venues.

Victorian community groups, including sports clubs, can now apply for up to $50,000 in funding to improve shade at venues across the state. The program provides funding to build new shade structures, repair or replace existing shade structures, create natural shade by planting trees, or purchase portable shade.

The third and final round of Community Shade Grants open on Wednesday 8 November 2017 and close 5pm Thursday 30 November 2017.
