All year round both ovals at the reserve are buzzing with social 20/20 matches popular throughout winter as well as the local cricket competition over the summer months.
Unfortunately both casual and club users have had to make do without change facilities and a portable toilet. We’ve changed that.
The new club rooms come complete with two female friendly change rooms, umpires change room, first aid room, storage area, external public toilets, outdoor seating and shade for spectators.
The new facilities provide the perfect space for local cricket clubs to build on their junior and female ranks, with a 25 per cent increase in ground usage predicted thanks to the new club rooms.
It’s not just local cricket that benefits, with the new clubrooms also open to local soccer, rugby and nearby schools.
Across Victoria we've invested more than $420 million in community sport and recreation facilities, and earlier this year provided almost half a billion dollars in the Victorian Budget 2018/19 to support sport and active recreation at all levels.
Project partners include Brimbank City Council.
